Summary
After the shootings at Pleasant Valley, Central High School starts to undergo major changes and many students, such as Thomas Bishop, despise these new rules. Soon, the school is taken over by the new grief and crisis counselor, Dr. Henry Willner. Central then starts to go under maximum security such as metal detectors and drug tests. Even some ridiculous rules such as outlawing the color red. As more rules are made, Dr. Willner becomes more in control. He has brainwashed parents from the emails he sends out and kids are sent to rehabilitation camps for misbehaving. Thomas even loses some of his friends during the process such as Silas and Avery. Thomas' Dad and his girlfriend, Clara, realize the trouble they are in and take a "long vacation" away from home to get away from the suspicious Dr. Willner. Thomas escapes as well with friends Brian and Becca. They all realized that they needed to go somewhere where nobody had ever heard about Pleasant Valley or about what happened after.
